Some might wonder how to display dates in the dd/MM/yyyy format in a Generic Inquiry.

Unfortunately, Generic Inquiry doesn't yet have a Format field like in Report Designer where you can specify any format you want. You have to get the format from a field.

But, if you want ONE date to be displayed in the dd/MM/yyyy format, likely you want ALL dates to be displayed that format.

If that is the case, you can use the System Locales (SM200550) screen to pick a locale that uses the dd/MM/yyyy format by default.

 

Or, you can override your locale to use the format. First, click the LOCALE PREFERENCES button:

 

Then, put this in the Short Date field of the Locale Preferences area:
