Hi Everyone,
Where do I go to create a generic inquiry?
That's very helpful. I think you are right. It's not scary!
Hi Tim!
I would like to start off by saying that I am very impressed with the layout of your site. This site has a very user friendly feel to it, and I feel it will be a very useful tool to all members. My question concerns creating a Generic Inquiry. When I click on the results grid tab under Generic Inquiries in my Acumatica version 6.1, I do not see the caption box option. I look for it to be in the column next to schema field where I often see it on other peoples Acumatica, but I do not have this option on mine for some reason. I would really like to enable this feature in our Acumatic. When I am creating Generic Inquiries, and I use a formula, and pick my format in the Schema Field, I would like to rename the column to make it more identifiable. I usually get a long confusing formula title that I do not know how to change. I do understand that I could use Power Query in Excel or Power BI to record the step of changing the column name, but it would be handy to know how to rename the column right from the get go in Acumatica for when I am using the generic inquiries for dashboard reports. Can you or any one please help me with this problem?
Hey Potato Ghost,
Congratulations on being the first non-muppet to post in the ARC Forums!
I LOVE the username and animated avatar. Nice creativity.
To show the Caption column, it's just like showing any column in any grid. You just have to click the icon in the upper left-hand corner next to the paperclip like this:
Then highlight the Caption column and click the right arrow to move it from the Available Columns area to the Selected Columns area.
Does that work for you?
Sounds great. Looking forward to the future questions.
