I'm trying to add a running total to the Accrual Balance by Trans Date Generic Inquiry under My Prime ERP > Time and Expense > Work Area > Explore. I know there is something under Human Resources > Labor > Work Area > Explore > Accrual Detail that gives you a running total, but it doesn't give you the time has been taken/used. Any way to edit either one of these inquiries to show what I want?

I think those screens are specific to your JAMIS Prime flavor of Acumatica, so I'll use another couple of screens to illustrate.
Personally, I'm not sure how to do a running total in a Generic Inquiry.
You can see a running total in the Ending Qty. field on the Inventory Transaction History (IN405000) screen. But this screen is an Inquiry screen, not a Generic Inquiry screen.
Something like the Journal Transactions (GL3010PL) screen is a Generic Inquiry screen.
You can tell the difference by clicking the CUSTOMIZATION button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
If your CUSTOMIZATION button gives you these options, then it's an Inquiry screen and you have to write C# code to modify it or do something similar to it (like a running total):

If your CUSTOMIZATION button gives you these options, then it's a Generic Inquiry screen and you can edit it graphically using the Generic Inquiry (SM208000) screen without having to write C# code:

It's not possible to do running totals in the current version of GI.
If you are careful about how you apply it, I created an example GI that does a running total for SOLines. The issue is the query is sensitive to the number of records, and there is exponentially more processing as you add more lines. Things are still reasonable up until ~500 lines, so depending on the average size of your transactions, this might work for you. You should definitely try in a test system before using it in production.
Very clever!
That GI example really helped. Thanks for that idea and thought l better share what l did as l would still be lost.
Used it on the Item Plan table to get a running balance of stock projected for sales and purchases by plan date and then extended it to consolidate / group by period.
Examples attached.
Apologies if they don't work in all circumstances - run in test etc. They were built in MYOB Advanced.
