I have been working on adding a drill down Function from a dashboard to 2 GI's and a screen. I have all them working except for one. I have an idea it might be caused by a grouping issue or in the parameters for navigation.

First I click the item in a column graph on the dashboard --> Customer GI --> Customer GI, (but only pulling one item.) --> Inventory Summary.

-First, click on the specific item on the chart which works fine and returns a total of the specific item clicked.

-Second, click on this custom GI's results which only returns one item. I need it to return all the items in the category.

-Third, click on any of the items in a category which works fine and goes to Inventory Summary; however, the previous set of results only shows one item and it needs to show multiple items to click on in a specific category.

-From the GI above it goes to the correct screen.

Any idea why it would be only showing one item for a category? When I un-group the first GI showed it fixes it, but it doesn't show a total for the category. I need it to show multiple items for category.

Thanks,

I found a workaround to fix this issue.

Was the Grouping the problem? For totals, you can finally add totals in 2019 R1 which is good. That way you could display both the details and the total in the GI.

Grouping was and is the issue. I found that if you drill down from the dashboard chart into the GI. You can set separate navigations, so it would be like moving horizontally instead of moving vertically. I set 2 elements in the GI to move to navigate to another GI and a specified screen.

Nice move. I like that feature a lot, just wish that you could also navigate to any URL, not just screens in Acumatica.
