Hi Everyone,
I would like to control who has access to a Pivot Table. But, as far as I can tell, anyone with access to the Generic Inquiry can also see the PIVOT TABLES menu in the upper-left-hand corner containing all of the Pivot Tables that are based on that Generic Inquiry. I'm not sure how to secure individual Pivot Tables.
Any ideas?
Hi Piggy,
I'm seeing the same thing as you. As far as I can tell, there is no way to control who has access to the PIVOT TABLES menu on a Generic Inquiry, and definitely not the individual Pivot Tables within the menu. I even tried giving View Only permissions to the Generic Inquiry which is the lowest permissions that you can have and still see the Generic Inquiry (the other permissions are Edit, Insert, and Delete). But you can still see the PIVOT TABLES menu for all four of those permission levels.
I also tried adding the Pivot Table to the Acumatica menu (Site Map) using the Is Shared checkbox and the Site Map Location field on the Pivot Tables screen. I thought that might help because security is driven off of the menu (Site Map) so you can then set security on the individual Pivot Table that was added to the menu. But that didn't really help because, if you give someone access to see the Pivot Table on the menu, then they can click on a number and drill into the Generic Inquiry, then the PIVOT TABLES menu is there for them to access all of the Pivot Tables based on that Generic Inquiry. And if you revoke access to the Generic Inquiry that the Pivot Table is based on, then the Pivot Table doesn't show any numbers, it's just empty.
So, I'm stumped. If anyone else can find a way to do this, that would be awesome.

Thanks for trying Tim. I'll let you know if I can come up with a creative way to accomplish this.
