I'm trying to understand the difference between SOInvoice and ARInvoice and why we use both. I'm also trying to understand the strucure of data for payments on invoices. It seems that ARPayment only relates to SOInvoice which seems counter-intuitive.
Ultimately I'm generating some reports showing payments made on invoices but I need to refer to the actual payment data, not what ends up in ARInvoice.
I would love to find a course on how the various data classes are structured and how they relate to each other.
SOInvoices are from Distribution and once released end up as a corresponding ARInvoice.
ARInvoices are for invoices that don't generate in Distribution module.
That's why there are 2 of them. Not all sites use Distribution module.
