Is there a way for end users to select the contact that populates the "Main Contact" section of form CR303000 (Business Accounts)?  I see a field named DefContactID in the SQL table which seems to have this functionality, but could not find the appropriate place in the UI to update it.

I have the same question about the "Shipping Contact" section of the "Delivery Settings" tab.

We loaded some of this data via an Import Scenario, so maybe I'm not fully understanding the way that the "Main Contact" and "Shipping Contact" sections are intended to work on the screen itself 😀

Any experience or advice is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Laura

For shipping contacts, go to the locations tab.  You can click on the set as default button to set a location as a default shipping address.

I don't believe anything like that exists for the main billing contact.

@ryan-brown

Thank you for the information about setting the default shipping account!  I had not enabled the "Business Account Locations" feature.  After doing so I now see the option to set a default shipping address.

I did some more poking around in the SQL data and figured out the answer to my Main Contact question.  In my experience with a different ERP system the Main Contact was selected from the list of general contacts.  By contrast in Acumatica,  the contact record associated with the "Main Contact" section on the Details tab is of a different type from the other contacts and not displayed on the Contacts tab.  In Acumatica, changes to the Main Contact information (e.g. phone number) are made directly on the Details tab of the Business Account screen and there would be no reason to change the Main Contact.  It appears that the same applies to the "Bill-To Contact" under Billing Settings (for Customers.)   Not sure, but I think maybe it's a similar paradigm for the "Bill-To Address"?

Thanks again for the help!
