Is anybody else running the stock 2-factor MFA on the on premise copy of Acumatica or using a 3rd party for MFA?

If  using the stock version did this stop working and on which version?

I am trying to decide if this was functionality that was originally part of Version 2019 that was pulled for 2020R1.

A couple of posts I read online say that people had this enabled and then upgraded and it went away.

Peeking at Doug Johnson’s tech Tuesday tip and looking at some of the comments, it sounds as if Acumatica is reworking the pricing for native multi-factor capabilities that were coming available in April of 2021.

Technical Tuesday: Multi-Factor Authentication via Single Sign-On in Acumatica Cloud ERP | Acumatica Cloud ERP

If this was native in previous versions I am not sure why they would eliminate a security feature they already had in the software and then charge a upgrade to give it back.

This MFA did bring up a few additional questions when I was doing some more research.

It looks like possibly some 3rd party companies are doing some 2-factor for Acumatica.

Is anybody familiar with their their services ?

I just don’t know the limitations to their solutions. I am unsure if these solutions can it be controlled at the user level or are these solutions doing it at the “site level”.

Looking at something like NexVue, this is where I am wondering if it would make sense to have approved IP addresses do so some  require 2-factor while others do not based on IP addresses.

My concern is productivity loss if 2-factor is required for all.

Primarily I am looking to lock down Admin access for those who could do data dumps elevate privilege's

Would like to get any feedback from others.
