In the GI screen, in results grid tab I have arranged some columns in order like a,b,c but the output is showing as a,c,b, if I do Restore Column Configuration then I could able to see them in arranged order in results grid like a,b,c. My question is, I have multiple users, so for some users still it is showing as a,c,b only. How can I set same order for all users?

Here's how I do it in my system:

  1. Open the screen displaying the GI (not the GI creation tool) and set your PERSONAL columns by dragging and dropping etc
  2. In the top right, select TOOLS -> Share Column Configuration
  3. Select your configuration, hit NEXT
  4. In this screen you have two options:
    1. Set as Default
    2. Override User's Personal Configurations

Your question sounds like you want to override, but I almost always just use "Set as Default" as I try not to restrict my users as they usually have very different use-cases. Anyways, just set the checkboxes as needed and you're good to go.

I'm not clear on your question as I see it interpreted two ways:

Publishing a Customization: Generally speaking, no. But, it very well might change depending on what tables your customization hits.

Editing the GI's Results Tab: This is a bit of a grey area.  If you add a new result, I know the system generates a new default template, because you will probably want to see the new field. Whether or not it overrides your setup or just appends the new fields to the end of the columns, I am unsure. I would test this out on your platform and see where it takes you. Like I said, I never lock my users' column configurations, I just set the defaults.
