Welcome Acumatica people!

My main focus at the moment is touring the United States and Canada
with my Power BI Workshop for Acumatica Users (see “Concert Flyer” above).

My goal is to book 20 “Tour Dates” to various cities in the United States and Canada over the next 12 months.

Want to host? I’m typically available to deliver this on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

The main challenge is finding an Acumatica Customer with a room that could host 15-20 people in a classroom-style setup: tables, power for everyone’s laptops, and a big screen up front.

What is the Power BI Workshop for Acumatica Users?
– 4 hours of hands-on Power BI training for Acumatica users from a guy who’s been working with Acumatica and Power BI for over 10 years.
– 10 pages of class exercises that we walk through together and that you get to take home with you.

This workshop will teach you how to:
1. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) your Acumatica data into Power BI Desktop using the Power Query M language.
2. Model your data in Power BI Desktop using multiple tables and a Star Schema.
3. Build a Dashboard in Power BI Desktop using some fundamental visual design principles.
4. Publish the Dashboard to PowerBI.com.
5. Embed the Power BI Dashboard back inside Acumatica and add security access rights to it.

For those who might never build Dashboards themselves, people have told me that this has still been useful for them because this workshop teaches you the art of the possible so you know what kinds of things are possible with Power BI and what you can ask for.

12:30pm – 01:00pm – Lunch & Tim’s 15 minute TRAILD talk
01:00pm – 02:45pm – Power BI Workshop
02:45pm – 03:00pm – Wrap Up

But the agenda will vary by city, depending on the specific arrangements for that city.
