Where will the class take place?
This is a 2 day class that will take place in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 and Wednesday, September 11, 2024. I booked a large event space which you can see pictures of on the bottom of this page.
What will we cover?
We will cover all of the content in the video training course, plus any tangents that class discussions take us on. For the Atlanta class, I took the video training course content and turned it into a 35 page document of class exercises. Since then, I’ve improved the content based on my experience in Atlanta. Each student will receive a paper copy so they can easily follow along, take notes, and catch up when necessary. I keep a public “class notes” document in a Google Doc during class which has proved to be popular with students because it’s an easy way for me to provide links to additional content related to discussions that come up with class.
Do I need experience with Generic Inquiries in Acumatica?
Definitely not! I designed the course to start at a beginner level, introducing foundational stuff about Generic Inquiries. Interestingly, I’ve had multiple “experienced” people tell me how surprised they were to learn things that they didn’t know in that foundational section. Hold onto your seats though, because the course does pick up. I encourage everyone to go at their own pace, have side conversations, and have fun. I also give time in class for practice and I hang around after class for those fellow nerds who want to keep working into the evening.
What about food?
Some light refreshments will be provided, but you’ll be on your own for lunch and dinner. We’ll take a break for lunch and there are plenty of options within walking distance because the venue is located in a shopping mall.

Do I need to bring my own computer?
Yes, you do need to bring your own laptop.
What Acumatica environment should I work in?
I personally recommend that people work in their production Acumatica environment since you’ll be able to work with data that is meaningful to you. But some people prefer to work in a training environment with demo data and that’s fine too. For anyone who asks, I can conduct a virtual session prior to class where we cover how to setup a local Acumatica environment on your computer. I can also provide cloud demo environments for anyone who needs them. Whatever will help you get the most out of class.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
If you cancel before Saturday, August 10, 2024, you’ll get a 50% refund.
