I am struggling to find the specific permissions in Acumatica for lead time. I would have thought it was under payables in the security and then under vendor and then under shipping instructions but I had no such luck finding it there.
I thought i had tracked it down under Vendor locations but there is 2 different lead-times listed. Can someone point me in the right direction where this security permissions maybe?
Try Inventory>Stock Items>Location>Lead Time (Days)(VLeadTime)
I'm following this intently. Brent, is your goal to be able to modify the lead time manually for a product or a vendor? Our VAR has told us repeatedly that this field can't be changed, but we'd like to be able to maintain it.
@cwomack that is the one i changed (no such luck). Don't know if this user had another role that is denying it however.
@tim It looks like its editable based off my permissions.
Dropping back in here--I hadn't realized that the Vendor Lead Time was just a default value until the system can start calculating lead time. Which, for us, gets pretty hairy since we just went live and my purchasing team seems to feel that no recommended purchase values are right. What they really want is for the vendor lead time value to take precedence; either our vendors have an item in stock and we know about how long it takes to arrive (and basically how often they want to review things to make purchases), or our vendor has supply chain issues and all bets are off.
I feel our VAR is blindly throwing darts at the wall on this topic; I'm still cleaning up some of the things they did prior to go-live as I learn more about how replenishment should be setup. Is there a good "Replenishment 101" resource that could help me understand how things like lead time works?
In the end, we want to be able to (at least for our main vendor) do Prepare Replenishment once a week, and have it recommend whatever we need to purchase to keep 60 days of stock on hand (we'll work that down over time).
