Replace the @Salesperson with ARTran.SalesPersonID_description and see if that is what you prefer.

Is there a way to get the Salesperson name to print? Is there a function to use or a table to join to use the parameter? 
An example of this is the Sales Profitability by Salesperson and Customer. 
The @Salesperson prints & We would like the Salesperson Description to print. 
Here is a pic of the Report.
