During the live broadcast, there was some concern in the chat that the Acumatica credentials get stored in the Excel file.

So I wanted to clarify that they do not. Rather, they get stored on your local computer. That means, if you email the Excel file, the credentials don't follow the file.

The credentials get stored here on your local computer:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\PowerQuery\User.zip

Regarding how the credentials are stored on your local computer, they are encrypted somehow. I mean, it's a high profile Microsoft product so it should be pretty good. I don't understand the details personally, but you can read more about it here:
