The snip of our graph above shows the months in no real order as well as here is the formatting we use for the graph.
We have tried adding a new Results to the GI that isolated the MonthName and year from the Requested Date and added those in different formats to the Chart settings. We tried using it in number format for the months like the below data.
We also tried different combos of Month(x) MonthName(x), adding CInt(Month(x)) but nothing would get the months in the right order.
Does anyone have and solutions to fixing the formatting?

I think it's sorting alphanumerically since Acumatica isn't aware that it's a Date.
There is an example in the SalesDemo database that I think is what you're looking for. It's the KEY CUSTOMER GROWTH Widget on the Sales Manager (DB000011) Dashboard:
